DianaDes – Mezzane, Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2020
A beautifully expressive wine from the rolling limestone hills of Mezzane di Sotto, near Verona. Crafted from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, this Ripasso is made through a unique second fermentation on the pomace of Amarone — a process that deepens its flavour and texture.
Tasting Experience:
Brilliant ruby red with soft garnet reflections. The bouquet reveals fresh red roses, ripe cherries, and plum jam, followed by gentle notes of spice, black pepper, and leather. On the palate, it’s smooth, full-bodied, and harmonious, combining the freshness of Valpolicella with the richness of Amarone.
