Rodaro Pinot Grigio DOP Friuli Colli Orientali 2023 is a dry Italian white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, produced by Rodaro Paolo Winery in Cividale del Friuli. Made from 100% Pinot Grigio, it is elegant, mineral and expressive, with citrus, orange blossom, mandarin, white flowers, exotic fruit, almond, hazelnut and a lightly bitter finish.
 
This Pinot Grigio comes from the Friuli Colli Orientali area, one of the respected wine zones of north-eastern Italy. The wine is made from estate-owned vineyards in the Cividale del Friuli area and is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 10–12 months, preserving freshness, clarity and varietal character.
 
Tasting Profile:
Rodaro Pinot Grigio shows an elegant old-gold colour with coppery and light orange reflections. On the nose, it opens with gentle citrus notes, orange blossom and mandarin, followed by white flowers, exotic fruit, dried fruit, almond and hazelnut. On the palate, it is balanced, lively and persistent, with mineral freshness, apricot, peach, sweet citrus and a dried-fruit finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
 
Food Pairing:
This Pinot Grigio pairs beautifully with vegetable-based first courses, fried foods and fresh cheeses. It is a strong choice for Mediterranean cuisine, seafood starters, aperitivo, wine bars, restaurants and private clients looking for a premium Italian white wine in Malta.
